Chris was very kind and helpful throughout our transaction and the food smells delicious highly recommend coming here

My only regret is that I didn't get a photo of my food before devouring it. This place never lets me down. They food I fresh and the flavors are on point. The Shack Chicken is absolutely amazing the service is fantastic. The staff seem like they love their job. Run, don't walk, go get you some of this amazing food and support the small businesses.

Excellent again. Hawaii right here in Reno. The menu has many specialities direct from the islands. Today was another taste of poke with wasabi ginger sauce. Don't forget the side of macaroni salad (extra) and great macaroni it is. My friend had Loco Moco, a beef patty on rice with gravy and a fried egg on top. Both were delicious. Counter service and freshly prepared dishes after you order. Plenty of seating and the TV plays island tunes. Drop by and enjoy a mind trip to Hawaii. It'll be worth it guaranteed.

Hidden gem! Resturaunt is very clean and was playing great music walking in. I ordered the pancit and it is probably the best pancit I've ever had and that's hard to say growing up on it. My wife's teriyaki vegetable chicken bowl was also delicious. Staff was showed much aloha! Will definitely return and have to try some awards winning wings. Don't miss out on this place. Much Mahalos to the owners of this shack

Can't give this place enough stars! Although this was my first time and I chose delivery this time, I cannot wait to attend in person for the full experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal! Not a bad thing in either of these two plates. I may be biased, but the short ribs were my absolute favorite. They melted in my mouth!

Looking for a new lunch spot while on the job, Yelp pointed me in the right direction of Aloha Shack. There was actually a line of what looked like coworkers getting ready to place their order. Everything sounded amazing. I ordered the shack chicken and was torn between that and the Chicken Katsu or the chicken terriyaki. I had to order some lumpia too. I'm used to other Hawaiian places in town having Hawaaiian sodas as that hits the spot but they just had regular drinks. I ended up spending close to $30 (steep for a lunch) but everything was delicious. I place a tip but I guess since I got it to go I was called to the counter. I would definitely come back as the portions were heaping and everything tasted wonderful.

I attempted to dine in just to try the Shack Melt hot and crispy off the grill, but after waiting 20 mins realized they had boxed my lunch up as a to-go order and it had been sitting for a bit. Sadly the sandwich and tots were completely soggy by the time I noticed the mistake and got my food. Good thing I also ordered the katsu and shack chicken because those were both delicious.

This is my favorite Hawaiian BBQ in Reno. My favorite is the shack chicken. It's crunchy and has a wonderful sauce on it. For me, it's not too spicy. It comes with your choice of macaroni salad or cabbage salad. Haven't tried the cabbage salad because the macaroni is my favorite. I've always gotten takeout, so this the first time I've eaten here and it's pretty clean including the bathroom. Staff is pretty friendly even when we have takeout. Only bummer is they're closed on Sundays and Mondays. All in all I recommend this place highly.

10/21/2023- Whew a long day trip, driving Donner Lake through 89 North to looping back around to 395.. Hungry as heck! So glad we stopped.. Ordered the teriyaki chicken with rice and Mac salad.. Always hits the spot!
